Kyrgyzstan Hunting
Hunt: Marco Polo Sheep • Asian Ibex • Siberian Roe Deer
Kyrgyzstan offers some of the most spectacular mountain hunting in the world. The towering peaks of the Tien Shan Mountains create an ideal habitat for legendary Asian mountain game, including Marco Polo sheep, Asian ibex, and Siberian roe deer.
Our hunting areas are located in remote mountain concessions with healthy wildlife populations and experienced local guides. These hunts combine breathtaking scenery, authentic adventure, and the opportunity to pursue some of the most sought-after trophies in international hunting.
Marco Polo Sheep Hunting
The Marco Polo sheep (Ovis ammon polii) is considered one of the most prestigious trophies in the world. Known for their enormous sweeping horns that can exceed 60 inches, these rams inhabit the high plateaus and ridgelines of the Tien Shan Mountains. Hunters spend their days glassing large basins and alpine ridges for mature rams before making careful stalks across open terrain. This is a true high-altitude mountain hunt that requires patience, determination, and physical preparation.
Harvesting a mature Marco Polo ram is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement for many international hunters.
- Season: October – November
- Elevation: 12,000 – 15,000 feet
- Hunting Method: Spot and stalk
- Trophy Size: 50 – 60+ inch rams
- Hunt Length: 10 – 12 days

Asian Ibex Hunting
The Asian ibex offers one of the most exciting and physically rewarding mountain hunts available anywhere in the world. These powerful mountain goats inhabit steep cliffs, broken rock faces, and rugged alpine terrain throughout the Tien Shan range.
Hunters glass cliffs and basins for mature billies before making challenging stalks through rocky country. Mature ibex often carry long scimitar-shaped horns measuring 40 to 50 inches or more. Ibex hunts are frequently combined with Marco Polo sheep hunts, making it possible to pursue two legendary mountain species in one trip.
- Season: October – November
- Elevation: 9,000 – 14,000 feet
- Hunting Method: Spot and stalk
- Trophy Size: 40 – 50+ inches
- Hunt Length: 7 – 10 days
Siberian Roe Deer Hunting
The Siberian roe deer offers a unique hunting experience in the forested foothills and alpine valleys of Kyrgyzstan. Larger than their European relatives, these deer are known for their distinctive antlers and beautiful reddish summer coat.
Roe deer hunts take place in lower elevations where hunters glass meadows and forest edges at dawn and dusk. This hunt is an excellent addition to a Marco Polo or ibex hunt and provides another exciting species during your time in Kyrgyzstan.
- Season: October – November
- Habitat: Alpine valleys and forest edges
- Hunting Method: Spot and stalk
- Hunt Length: 3 – 5 days (often combined with other hunts)
